Minnesota Itemized Deductions

​For tax year 2018, you may claim the Minnesota standard deduction or itemize deductions on your Minnesota income tax return. You may claim itemized deductions on your state return, even if you claimed the standard deduction on your federal income tax return.

Note: If you are married filing separately and your spouse itemizes deductions on their Minnesota return, you must itemize also.
