In-Person Customer Service
The Minnesota Department of Revenue provides customer service at the Stassen Building in St. Paul on a first-come, first-served basis. However, you can find answers to most of your tax questions on our website or if you call or email us.
For in-person customer service, be prepared to provide a valid photo identification and Social Security number or Individual Taxpayer Identification Number (ITIN).
COVID-19 Services Update
Our St. Paul office is now open weekdays from 9:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. We're offering limited services to protect the health of our customers and employees.
Our service desk will accept and process payments by check, money order, or cash. We're also providing self-service stations with request forms, pens, and envelopes so you can:
- Submit tax returns or payments
- Pick up or request tax forms and instructions
- Ask general questions or request more tax information
- Order copies of your previous tax returns
Place your tax return, payment, or service request in the secure drop-box outside our front door. Put all materials in a sealed envelope (available at the self-service station).
All other walk-in services remain suspended at this time.
See Our Response to COVID-19 for more state tax updates and information.
