The Wisconsin Tax Refund Interception Program (WTRIP) is governed by an agreement between the Minnesota and Wisconsin revenue departments. Either agency may file a claim with the other state to collect outstanding debts. The information about this program is included in your first bill.
The Wisconsin Department of Revenue charges you a $15.00 fee when a refund applies to a claim. Only one debt is covered with each claim.
