Enforced Collection Actions

The Minnesota Department of Revenue can take the following enforced collection actions to collect state tax or other agency debts:

  • Levy (take) a portion of your disposable wages
  • Levy (take funds from) your bank account
  • Seize (take) property and sell it to pay your debt
  • Revoke or deny renewal of your business or professional license
  • Offset (take) any vendor payment owed to you by a state agency
  • Revoke your sales tax permit
