field_block:node:page:body

The Price of Government Report by Minnesota Management and Budget includes total taxes, non-tax revenue, and intergovernmental revenue for state government, local (non-school) governments, and school districts.

The report is updated with each economic forecast and at the end of each legislative session. It was last updated using the November 2020 forecast.

To compare revenues since fiscal year 1991, see the Price of Government 35-Year spreadsheet.

The tables and charts shown summarize a number of changes in Minnesota’s tax collections over the 35 years covered in the latest report.
