If you have trouble resolving a tax issue with the Minnesota Department of Revenue and have exhausted all other administrative remedies, the Taxpayer Rights Advocate Office (TRA Office) may be able to help explain your options.

The TRA Office is an independent office within Revenue. The Taxpayer Rights Advocate reports directly to Revenue’s commissioner.

We work to protect your rights after something goes wrong — and to help strengthen those rights from the start.
