These documents are not subject to Mortgage Registry Tax because they do not establish a security interest in Minnesota real property.
Note: If the language in these documents indicates the lender is creating a security interest in Minnesota real property, they would be taxable.
- Memorandum of Property Assessed Clean Energy (PACE) Loan: This document provides notice of the existence of a PACE Loan. PACE financing is paid through a voluntary special assessment.
- Owner Occupied Retention Agreement: This document provides notice of the existence of an income eligible housing subsidy or grant.
