Paying an Audit Assessment

If you receive a final audit report and tax order from the Minnesota Department of Revenue, you must pay the full amount due within 60 days or we’ll charge additional penalties and interest.

Before you begin, you must have your Minnesota Tax ID Number and the ending date of the audit period.
- Online: Log in to e-Services. For step-by-step instructions, click FAQ on the e-Services login page.
- Mail: Write your Minnesota Tax ID Number on the check and include the payment voucher included with the tax order (Notice of Change in Sales and Use Tax). Make your check payable to Minnesota Revenue and mail as directed on the payment voucher.
If you’re unable to pay the full balance due, you can contact our Collection Division to request to make installment payments.
