Estimated Tax Payments for UBIT

field_block:node:page:body

If you have an estimated Unrelated Business Income Tax (UBIT) liability of more than $500, you must make quarterly payments based on 100% of your prior year’s tax liability or 100% of your current year’s tax liability, whichever is less.

You must pay equal quarterly installments by the 15th day of the third, sixth, ninth, and 12th months of your tax year.

You are not required to pay estimated taxes the first year you are subject to the tax.

Due Dates of Short Tax Year Payments

Short tax year payments are due on the 15th day of the third, sixth, ninth, and final months.

You are not required to make estimated payments if your short tax year is less than four months.

If you underpay or do not pay an installment by the due date, we will add an additional charge for underpayment to your tax.
