Engaging Minnesota to Help Property Taxpayers

field_block:node:landing_page:body

The Minnesota Department of Revenue is hosting a series of public discussions called Engaging Minnesota to Help Property Taxpayers. Our goal is to find meaningful ways to support property taxpayers by examining the state's property tax system from their point of view. We will explore recommendations to make the system more understandable, accessible, accountable, and less costly and burdensome.

We invite all Minnesotans to participate and share their input. Minnesota Revenue values your perspective and we're reaching out to key voices – including Tribal, county, and city leaders; legislators; property owners; and auditors and assessors. Your partnership is vital as we work to identify clear and effective recommendations to better support Minnesota property taxpayers.

Minnesota Revenue will hold public meetings from August to October. We'll announce dates, times, topics, and registration links on this webpage and through our newsletter.

All meetings will be hybrid, with an in-person option at the Minnesota Department of Revenue and an online meeting link. Registration is encouraged and required to receive the online link. We'll also offer a separate online survey where you can share your thoughts.

To stay informed about Engaging Minnesota to Help Property Taxpayers, watch this page and sign up for our newsletter. We'll share upcoming meetings, registration links, summaries of past discussions, and opportunities to provide your feedback.
