2026 Tax Law Change FAQs For Businesses

After the 2026 Tax Bill was signed into law in May, Minnesota now conforms with the provisions of the 2025 Federal Tax Budget and Reconciliation Bill (H.R. 1). Minnesota decoupled from some of the provisions of H.R. 1.

Generally, conformity is retroactive and effective at the same time as the federal provisions. H.R. 1 was signed into law on July 4, 2025.
