Each year, we help more than 400,000 people by phone -- over 2,000 each business day, on average. Our contact centers also help many people by email sent directly or through our website -- we receive more of these messages each year. These customers include individual and business taxpayers, tax professionals who represent them, and those who owe a tax or other debt we're collecting.

Data in the Report

This report shows how many phone calls our contact centers receive, how long it takes to answer and complete the calls, and our busiest calling times. It includes statistics for:

Individual Income Tax/Property Tax Refunds and Withholding
Business Taxes
Collections

Using the Report

Navigate: Use the tabs to select Call Volume, Call Time Statistics, or Call Volume Analysis.
Filter: Use the buttons to filter by Contact Center (Individual Income, Business, Collections). Select a column to filter further.
Export: Move your mouse over the report, press the ellipsis icon (...), and select Export Data.
