Board-Approved Continuing Education Courses for July 1, 2016-June 30, 2020

Course Approval

If you want to submit an assessment or appraisal related course or seminar for approval that is not on the list, complete the Request Form and submit it to the Minnesota State Board of Assessors for approval.   

Note: If the course or seminar you attended is on the board-approved list, upload the completion certificate to your education records on the Assessor Licensing System.

Sponsoring Educational Organizations

Education courses that have been approved by the State Board of Assessors are offered by a variety of sponsoring organizations including Appraisal InstituteIAAO, Kaplan, McKissock and MAAO.


Continuing Education Requirements for Minnesota Assessors

The current continuing education cycle runs July 1, 2016 - June 30, 2020. 

If your license level on 7/1/2016 was:

​In order to be relicensed on 7/1/2020, you need to obtain:

​Your CEH's must include:

​CMA or CMAS ​50 CEHs (Continuing Education Hours) ​Ethics Seminar

60 CEHs (Continuing Education Hours)

​Ethics Seminar and PACE Course
