Sarah Bronson, Assistant Commissioner

Sarah Bronson serves as assistant commissioner at the Minnesota Department of Revenue. She oversees Individual Income Tax, Withholding, and Collection.

Bronson joined Revenue in 2017, serving as the agency's Taxpayer Rights Advocate. She advised senior management on issues involving taxpayer rights and worked with agency division leadership to create policies and procedures that address the needs of taxpayers.

Before joining the department, Bronson spent eight years as the director of the Mid-Minnesota Legal Aid Low Income Taxpayer Clinic, providing no-cost legal representation to Minnesota taxpayers with limited incomes. She has a B.S. from the University of Wisconsin-Madison and a J.D. degree from the University of Minnesota Law School.
