Dale Dorschner, Assistant Commissioner

Dale Dorschner serves as assistant commissioner at the Minnesota Department of Revenue. He oversees Financial Management, Facilities, Business Planning and Improvement, Tax Systems Planning, and Internal Audit. 

Dorschner has been with the state of Minnesota for more than 23 years. In the last 10 years, he held various positions at the Minnesota Department of Health including interim human resources director, interim deputy chief operations officer, and assistant director for environmental health.  

He has served as the executive sponsor on numerous department-wide projects. He brings a wealth of experience in managing and implementing changes in operations and process improvement, and applying data and metrics to support effective business operations.   

He previously worked as an environmental consultant, managed regional offices for various firms, and worked as a sole proprietor serving clients on a variety of health and safety issues. 

Dorschner has a bachelor’s degree in business administration from Minnesota State University, Mankato.
