Who needs to file a Liquor Distributor Report?

Any business selling liquor products to retailers in Minnesota must file a Liquor Distributor Report.

When is the report due?

The report is due each year on March 31. The report must include all liquor sales you made to retailers during the prior calendar year.

What information is required in the report?

You must provide the following information for each retailer you made liquor sales to:

  • Minnesota Tax Identification Number
  • Business name
  • Street address
  • Annual sales amount

How do I file the report?

You file the Liquor Distributor Report through our secure Virtual Room.

How do I access the Virtual Room?

We sent liquor distributors an email invitation to access the Virtual Room. If you did not receive an email invitation, you can request one by sending an email to: salesuse.dist@state.mn.us.

What if my file was rejected?

If you receive an email notification that your file was rejected:

  1. Log into Virtual Room
  2. Download and review your error report
  3. Fix your errors
  4. Submit your corrected file
