I have completed the annual Disclosure Training. I understand that:

  • I have been given access to not-public Minnesota sales tax information as outlined in the Local Sales and Use Tax Agreement. This information provided by the Minnesota Department of Revenue may only be shared with and/or accessed by employees who administer taxes or have a business need to know and have completed the required disclosure training.

  • Unauthorized disclosure may result in civil or criminal penalties which includes a fine of up to $3000, one year in prison, or both, plus the cost of prosecution. The Department of Revenue must also create a public investigation report which names the person that disclosed the not public data.

  • Disclosure Training is required annually for all authorized employees or local officials prior to being granted access to not public sales tax information received from the department. The due date for completing the annual disclosure training and submitting the registration is December 31. I understand and accept that my failure to complete the training by December 31 will result in the suspension of my Virtual Room access.

  • If myself or an authorized local government employee no longer needs access to Minnesota sales and use tax information due to a change of duties, separation of employment, or any other reason, it is the local government’s obligation to notify the department to terminate Virtual Room access rights for that individual.
