Financial Hardship

The Minnesota Department of Revenue considers financial hardship as the inability to pay for basic necessities. If you are an individual, the basic necessities include:
- Electricity
- Food
- Heat
- Needed medication
- Rent/Mortgage
- Water
If you are a business, a significant financial hardship includes previously issued payroll checks that cannot be honored.
You must complete one or both of the below forms and provide documentation to support your claim of financial hardship.
