Senior Accredited Minnesota Assessor (SAMA)

Assessors with at least five years of assessment experience who hold an AMA license and complete the appropriate courses may obtain a Senior Accredited Minnesota Assessor (SAMA) license. A SAMA may perform all duties required in the classification and appraisal of real and personal property for property tax purposes.

- SAMA Application is located on the Assessors Licensing System. You will need to Sign in to access the application. All SAMA applications are reviewed by the board for approval at the next board meeting.
One of the final requirements to become a Senior Accredited Minnesota Assessor is the oral Interview with the board. To arrange your oral interview with the board, send an email to assessors.board@state.mn.us and request that your oral interview be scheduled for the next available board meeting.
