The Commissioner of Revenue is directly responsible to the governor for the supervision of Minnesota’s revenue system. In addition, the commissioner advises the governor and the Legislature on tax policy and operations, and acts as the State Board of Equalization to review individual property tax appeals and direct equalization efforts.
