Wisconsin Tax Refund Interception Program

The Wisconsin Tax Refund Interception Program (WTRIP) is an agreement between the Minnesota and Wisconsin revenue departments. Either agency may file a claim with the other state to collect outstanding debts. Your first bill includes information about this program.

The Wisconsin Department of Revenue charges you a $15 fee when a refund applies to a claim. Each claim covers only one debt.
