You can create 2024 CRPs beginning on January 1, 2025. You will be able to create CRPs on January 1 of each year. We are working to make that date earlier and will update our website if that date changes.

Yes, you can use a software product to create 2023 CRPs. A list of software products we certified is available on our Certificate of Rent Paid Software webpage.
However, you must use e-Services to create CRPs for rent paid in 2024.
No, although you now have the option to use a new step-by-step process to enter your data.
You do not need to use e-Services for 2023 CRPs. For 2024 CRPs, you can request an exception of the e-Services requirement.
More information about requesting an exception will be available later this year.

Each property owner must have a separate account. One property owner with multiple properties can use the same account for all properties.
Yes. If you have a business e-Services account, multiple users can manage CRP information. The user who manages account access can add more users. You can find more information on our e-Services Access Types webpage.
If a business has multiple Minnesota ID numbers, use the account the property is associated with.

Yes. You can download a PDF of a CRP before you submit.
Before finishing your submission, you can select Save and Finish Later. After selecting Save and Finish Later, you can select Print CRPs to save a PDF of all the CRPs included in your submission with a Not Submitted watermark.

Yes, you can use the Import from File process. This process allows you to import data for multiple addresses using one file.
If you manually enter CRP data, each street address must be created as a separate submission. You will provide the street address, then renter and unit information later in the process. If you have multiple units sharing the same street address, you can enter those units as part of the same submission.
Yes, you are limited to 32,000 CRPs at one time.
No. You must enter or import your data every year.
No. You will have an electronic signature.

If you have not finished your submission, you can cancel it, update your spreadsheet, and import it again.

Yes. Search for the CRP that needs to be updated and select Change.
After you complete a submission with multiple CRPs, you can save one file with all the CRPs. Use Print CRPs from the confirmation page to save the file.
If you go back into your account and search for a CRP, you can:
- Select the ECN number from the list to save each CRP separately.
- Select the Confirmation Number from the list and select Print in the I Want To... list to save the full set of CRPs that were submitted together.
