About This Page

The Minnesota Department of Revenue teaches Professional Assessment Certification and Education (PACE) courses in partnership with the Minnesota Association of Assessing Officers.

Accredited Minnesota Assessors (AMAs) and Senior Accredited Minnesota Assessors must complete the PACE course once every four years. For this training cycle, all AMAs and SAMAs who have been licensed at that level since July 1, 2016, must successfully complete the PACE course by June 30, 2020.

2016-2020 Course Schedule

PACE consists of two sessions – PACE 1 in 2018, and PACE 2 in 2019. Each session lasts two days, including an exam.

Note: You must complete both sessions to meet the PACE training requirement.

The registration fee is $125 per session. Please budget so that every AMA and SAMA can attend one session each in 2018 and 2019.

PACE 1 (offered in 2018):

We will offer 6-7 sessions – two each in July, August, and September, and possibly  one session in November. Most sessions will be in the Twin Cities metro area. We'll announce specific dates and locations in spring 2018.

PACE 2 (offered in 2019)

We will offer 6-7 sessions – two each in July, August, and September, and possibly one session in November. Most sessions will be in the Twin Cities metro area. We'll announce specific dates and locations in spring 2019.

Course Information and Fees

  • You will receive 15 continuing education hours  for each PACE session (30 hours total).
