Appeal Acknowledgement Letter

​This letter informs you that the Department of Revenue has received your appeal request. The letter summarizes the reason for your appeal, and the steps that will be taken by our appeals officer. It doesn’t guarantee that we’ll review your appeal in a specific amount of time, or that we’ll decide in your favor.

If you have any questions about your appeal or its status, please contact the appeals officer listed on the letter.

What do I need to do?

Watch for additional correspondence from the department. We may request more information before deciding on your appeal. 

If you prefer to receive your appeal correspondence by email, complete Form REV187, Authorization to Communicate through E-mail Transmission.

Once your case has been reviewed, we’ll inform you of our decision in a Notice of Determination.
