For rental property owners and managing agents

field_block:node:page:body

If you own or manage a rental property and rent living space to someone, you must provide a CRP to each renter if either of these apply:

  • Property tax was payable in 2023 on the property.
  • The property is tax-exempt, but you made payments in lieu of property taxes.

Renters will need the CRP to apply for the Renter’s Property Tax Refund. You must give each renter a CRP by January 31, 2024.

For the most recent form, see 2023 CRP, Certificate of Rent Paid.  For more information about the CRP form, see the Landlord Instructions for Form CRP. You can also use e-Services to create CRPs online.
