Correcting W-2 or 1099 Files

If you submitted incorrect W-2 or 1099 information to the Minnesota Department of Revenue, you can correct the information in e-Services until 5:00 p.m. CST on the day you submitted the file.

For EFW2 and Simple files

From the customer page, go to the History tab.

Select Bulk Filing Upload from the Submitted section.

Select Cancel Request.

Correct your W-2 or 1099 file and re-upload the file.

From the customer page, go to the History tab.

Select W-2 Submission under the Submitted section.

Select Change.

Correct the information and complete the remaining steps as directed.
You must provide us the corrected information. You may also need to provide your employees corrected W-2s or 1099s. For more information, see the table below:
