Filing Your Taxes Electronically

Electronic filing is fast, secure, and more error-free than a written return. Most e-file programs guide you through a simple question-and-answer process, and help you discover every possible deduction, exemption or credit for which you qualify.

You can file your return electronically by:

• Using a computer with Internet access and software that offers online filing services, or
• Going to a tax preparer who offers this service. (Ask your tax preparer to file your return electronically, or take your completed forms to an authorized electronic filing transmission site.
