‘This Old House’ was a property tax program that gave Minnesota homestead property owners a 10-year tax break on some or all of the value of qualifying improvements to old homes. The idea was to encourage home renovation that would contribute to preserving and revitalizing old neighborhoods. The program closed to new participants Jan. 2, 2003, but continues for existing participants until their 10-year tax break period ends.
