  • Why did you file a lien?Back to top

There are several reasons we file liens. Contact us at 651-556-3003 or 800-657-3909 (toll-free) for more information.

  • Why was I not told that a lien was going to be filed against me?Back to top

Our "Demand for Payment" letter informed you we may file a lien at any time.

  • Can I get the lien released if I start a payment agreement with the department?Back to top

No. We only release liens after the debts on the lien are paid in full.

  • Will a lien show up on my credit report?Back to top

Possibly. We do not report liens to any credit reporting agencies. Liens are public information and recorded at the county where they are filed. Credit reporting agencies can review and add them to your credit report at any time.
